Meet Carla, the Mind Behind the Collar Pillow

carla bio headshot.jpg

My name is Carla Stokesbary, and I'm the inventor of the Collar Pillow. While visiting my grandparents in a nursing home, I was heartbroken seeing elderly residents seated in hallways, their heads bowed low. This inspired me to create the Collar Pillow—a dignified, comfortable, and simple solution that helps individuals hold their heads high once again.

The Collar Pillow gently uplifts their head for them, allowing them to take in their surroundings, engage & socialize with peers, staff & family. aiding in feeding, and even allowing them to once again watch their favorite T,V, show. It also allows them to engage in nursing home programming that is designed to enhance their quality of life.

Travel Comfort

Addresses the forwardhead dropping on flights, holding up the heads of those flight passengers, where we often see passengers wearing the traditional travel pillow around their neck, but their head has fallen forward out of the pillow with their chin now resting on their chest.

Salon Comfort

For our hair styles that take long periods of time such as extensions, locks, twists & braids or simply, upping the level of our comfort while sitting under the hair dryer.
